Thousand Islands Vice Regent says his administration to conduct rapid and swab tests to detect COVID-19 in community health centers (puskesmas) as soon as after receiving testing kits from the central government.

"Our puskesmas is ready to conduct rapid tests for people in Thousand Islands," he expressed, Wednesday (4/29).

South Thousand Islands Sub-district Puskesmas Head Ilmi Tri Indarto added, testing kits so far are still enough. If extra is needed, the Health Agency will help to send more.

He explained rapid tests could be conducted in all puskesmas in the islands on citizens suspected of having symptoms of COVID-19 disease, as a step in anticipation of rapid response due to distance and limited transportation.

"Thus far, 62 people have undergone swab tests. We will continue to do it maximally, including jemput bola services for pregnant women," he said.
